Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role

Reporting into the team lead, you will be accountable for the delivery of the responsibilities set out below. This is a full-time position on a night shift, working remote from Makati, Metro Manila. The company employs 201–1,000 and operates in the finance & accounting sector.

What you will do

• Prepare and maintain accurate books, journals and reconciliations on a monthly cycle.
• Handle BIR filings, statutory contributions and other Philippine compliance requirements on time.
• Recommend process improvements that shorten the close or reduce manual reconciliation.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documents.
• Produce financial statements and management reports within the agreed close calendar.
• Review supplier invoices, employee reimbursements and payment runs for accuracy and approval.

What we are looking for

• Strong Excel skills including lookups and pivot tables.
• At least 2 years of hands-on general accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related field.
• High attention to detail and comfort meeting a fixed close calendar.
• Working knowledge of Philippine tax compliance and BIR filing.

Nice to have

• CPA licence or in progress.
• Exposure to a shared-services or multi-entity environment.
• Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, SAP or NetSuite.
